Man Utd stars asked for autographs at training as Cristiano Ronaldo and Co wait for miserable season to end

MANCHESTER UNITED stars reported for training at Carrington today ahead of a quiet weekend for Ralf Rangnick's stars.

Rangnick's side have already played 37 Premier League games and are therefore not in action again until the final day on May 22.

However Cristiano Ronaldo and Co were still hard at work on the training pitch as they bid to end a miserable season with a bang at Crystal Palace.

The 37-year-old sped into Manchester United's HQ in his £250,000 Bentley late on Friday morning.

He was closely followed by his minders in a separate car.

Red Devils fans waited outside the gates at Carrington holding 'Ronaldo 7' shirts in the hope of bagging an autograph.

And those lining the streets outside the training ground could have been at a car show with some of the stunning motors that were on display.

Ronaldo's team-mate Raphael Varane also arrived in a Bentley, and Alex Telles was behind the wheel of a Porsche 4×4.

Diogo Dalot arrived in a Mercedes G-Wagon, while midfielder Fred was part of the Bentley crew too.

The stars are into their final weeks of training under interim boss Rangnick, with Erik ten Hag set to assume command in the summer.

But regardless of the result at Selhurst Park in nine days time, United are set to regard their lowest points tally in Premier League history.

The humbling 4-0 defeat to Brighton last time out guaranteed Rangnick's flops a worst ever Prem season for United.

Sixth place is the highest possible place the club can finish.

A point on the final day guarantees that, but United could still find themselves leapfrogged by seventh-placed West Ham, who are currently three point behind but with a better goal difference.
