Heinz have released a unique new range of flavoured beans, combining two British classics into one.
Curry and beans are perhaps not two menu items you would put together, however Heinz has taken the daring leap for National Curry Week.
According to the condiment brand, the idea was inspired by Britons’ love of curry and baked beans.
To please the taste buds of its clientele, Heinz has released three new curry- flavoured baked bean products.

First up is a combination of the nation’s favourite dish – Chicken Tikka Masala – and the brand’s staple product.
Heinz Beanz Tikka is described as beans in a creamy Tikka Masala sauce, providing tangy and tasty flavours.
Also in the limited edition launch is the Heinz Beans Jalfrezi, baked beans drowned in a Jalfrezi style sauce, which is said to be deliciously indulgent with its punchy spices.
Finally, for the spice lovers there is the Heinz Beanz Vindaloo – a fiery baked beans and curry concoction with a kick of chilli.
The decision to share the unique combination with the world came from a survey of 2,000 UK adults this September, conducted by Opinium, which found that 40 per cent of Britons add extra spices to their baked beans, to give them that extra kick.
While 26 per cent of Brits revealed their love for paprika, one fourth noted their love for curry powder.
The survey also revealed that 49 per cent of Heinz consumers eat Indian food three times a month, with 29 per cent citing Chicken Tikka Masala as their ‘ultimate curry’.
The concoction also came to be after a survey revealed 40 per cent of Brits add extra spices to their beans at home for an extra kick. The research conducted by Opinium on 2,000 UK adults also revealed 49 per cent of Heinz consumers eat Indian cuisine three times a month
Whilst they also enjoy Indian cuisine, 43 per cent eat baked beans at least once a week.
The director of meals and insights at Heinz, Alessandra de Dreuille, shared how it was a no-brainer to bring two of the nation’s favourite dishes together.
She said: ‘We think it’s about time that two of the nation’s favourite dishes, curry and Heinz Beanz, came together.
‘And as soon as we heard that Brits were adding spice to their Beanz, we knew we were on to something!
‘We’ve been hard at work perfecting these recipes that are guaranteed to tingle your tastebuds.
‘So, whether it’s Jalfrezi Beanz on Toast, Tikka Beanz with a side of naan, or even Vindaloo Beanz for those that can handle the heat, our new Beanz Flavourz are sure to be the Beanz you don’t know you love yet.’
