Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway, 54, hasn’t had the best day in terms of her wardrobe after wearing a bold outfit, comprised of a psychedelic shirt with bishop sleeves and a vibrant pair of pink trousers. Although Kate looked stunning in the colourful ensemble, she was teased by her GMB co-star Richard Arnold, who compared her look to “a bag of Chewits”.
Ben also couldn’t help but laugh along with Richard’s cheeky remark.
After the show ended, Kate’s luck didn’t turn around, as she suffered an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction behind-the-scenes.
The star was filmed by Ben as she tried to explain why she had an awkwardly-placed wet patch on her trousers after going to the bathroom.
Ben shared the funny video in view of his 480,000 Instagram followers this evening.
Kate could be seen looking down at her damp trousers while Ben and her ITV co-star Andi Peters could be heard giggling in the background.
She admitted: “I’ve had a little bit of an accident.
“It’s not as bad as you’d fear, it’s just overzealous hand washing.”
“Overzealous hand washing?” Ben quizzed.
“Allegedly!” Andi chimed while wearing a face mask.
Defending herself from the boys’ cheeky antics, Kate exclaimed: “It is, it is!”
Fortunately, the mum-of-two came up with a handy solution to stop anyone else from seeing the wet patch and getting the wrong idea when she left the ITV studios.
Grabbing her oversized shoulder bag, Kate told Ben: “What I’m going to do is, I’m going to carry my bag like that!”

Kate then grinned and strategically placed the bag in front of her to cover up the damp area, prompting Ben and Andi to burst into laughter again.
The star previously discussed her outfit inspiration on GMB.
She told viewers: “We’re facing another winter of discontent, which was in ’79…
“So I’m trying to bring the early 70s, the free love, the age of aquarius…
“We’re desperately trying to bring joy this morning, even with our wardrobe!”
Kate has had plenty of reasons to smile lately, as her husband Derek Draper has made some positive progress in his recovery after being in hospital for over a year due to COVID-19.
The TV star told Davina McCall at the Who Cares Wins Awards: “He’s had a good day today, we did some exercises together before I came out.
“A day at a time, but today’s a good day. Thank you for asking, that’s really kind of you.”
