X Factor judge Simon Cowell has opened up about how he is opting to cut down on his work life to spend more time with his eight year old son Eric and fiancée Lauren Silverman.
Known for his work ethic, Simon is a record producer and owner of Syco Records but is most known for being the brains behind the hit shows The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent.
As if these ventures haven’t kept him busy enough, he is also behind the hit reality show American Idol and stars as a panellist on the USA version of The X Factor as well.
The Britain’s Got Talent favourite, 62, has revealed how his life and priorities have changed since the country went into lockdown in 2020.
He now feels it’s time to cut down on the manic work schedule and make more time for his family life.
“I do think I have got the work/life balance right, particularly with Eric because he’s eight now” he told The Mirror.
He continued: “The only good thing about the coronavirus was that during the lockdown we spent a lot of time together – and I love his company.”
Simon explained that this was the reason for making a change once lockdown ended.
He told the publication: “Once we came out of lockdown, I had to make a decision, which was do I go back to what I was doing before? Or do I do a little bit less and I’m able to spend more time with him? That’s what I decided to do.”
He added: “It’s finding that balance. It’s absolutely key now.”
Simon is set to marry his long term girlfriend and mother to his son, Lauren Silverman, 44, next month after hepopped the question in Barbadosa few months ago.
Just five months after popping the question, the music mogul is said to believe that there's "no point in delaying" their nuptials.
"He has taken charge of the planning, and the date has been set for June," a source has revealed.
