My biggest fall decorating tip so your home is classy, not tacky – no one wants their house to look like Hobby Lobby | The Sun

AN interior designer has shared her biggest fall decorating tip for a classy look.

She revealed what to avoid to prevent your home from looking tacky.

Kate (@interiordesignbestie) shared the video with over 90,000 TikTok followers.

"My biggest tip when you're decorating for fall so your house is classy and not tacky because no one wants their house to look like Hobby Lobby," she said.

She revealed that when it came to decor between seasons, less is more.

"My tip would be to use less than five elements in each element of your house, let me give you an example," she said.

She revealed she limited herself to changing only three things on her table to make a big difference.

"I'm adding a garland, I'm updating the dried stems, and I'm adding one decorative pumpkin," she said.

"Right when you walk in, you can automatically assume that I've decorated for fall but you're not overwhelmed by fifteen pumpkins, three garlands, a pumpkin sign, dried flowers, and a new wreath."

"Less is more and in the long run, I'll love those decorations longer," she added.

People took to the comments to share their thoughts on her advice.

Many were fine with having their homes look like "Hobby Lobby homes."

"Hobby lobby overload here love it," said one commenter.

"I want my house to look like Halloweentown and Hobby Lobby exploded in it," said another.

Others agreed with her take: "Agree. A good tip also is to use mother nature to decorate. Branches, dried oranges/apples, cinnamon sticks, etc. Then blankets/pillows," said one commenter.
